2011 tournament champions Lincoln Lee, Steve Hill, Greg Chang, and Al Shen hoist trophy at Quichena Golf and Country Club.
On July 14, 2011, Sunrise Soya Foods hosted its 25th Annual Golf Tournament at the Quilchena Golf and Country Club in Richmond. The event, which is celebrating its silver anniversary of 25 years, was an ‘overwhelming success’ with a sellout of 144 golfers registered. Several prizes were available to be won throughout the course and the dinner celebration thanks to the generous donations from its sponsors and gift donors.
“The event was an overwhelming success,” Peter Joe, CEO of Sunrise Soya Foods says. “Thanks to the dedication to all of our staff that helped, I think this year has been the most successful tournament yet.”
Early morning rain looked to dampen the day as rain showers continued to pour. But as the day progressed, the sun peaked through the clouds maintaining a 25 year tradition of sun filled tournaments.
The tournament’s success is largely to due to the hard work and dedication of its organizer, Linda Nguyen and all the staff both from Sunrise, CDA, and Quilchena. The tournament was able to raise over $27,000 for its charity organizations which include the Canadian Diabetes Association and the Hearts of Gold Foundation.
Sunrise would like to congratulate Al Shen, Steve Hill, Greg Chang and Lincoln Lee for winning this year’s tournament and donning the coveted Sunrise Invitational green jacket.
Sunrise would like to extend a special thanks to all the organizations and individuals who have generously contributed to the success of the event, whether through sponsorship or donation. Without their support, this tournament, and the good it does for the community, would not have been possible!
