Tofuyaki

A homemade marinated Tofuyaki will have just about anyone jumping up for joy. Grilled to perfection, drizzle this tasty dish with teriyaki sauce and add sea weed. It’s simple, yet elegant.

Prep time: 2-12 hr marinating time   Cook time: 5 min   Servings: 4

INGREDIENTS

1 pkg (340g) Sunrise Pressed Tofu
or 1 pkg (350g) Soyganic Pressed Tofu

Marinate:
¼ cup low sodium soya sauce
2 tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp minced garlic

DIRECTIONS

1. Combine all marinade ingredients together in a shallow pan.
2. Add tofu pieces and marinade for at least 2 hours or overnight.
3. Grill tofu pieces for a few minutes on each side until golden brown. 
4. Serve with shredded seaweed and your favourite teriyaki sauce, if desired.
