TITLE: Sanitation Associate, Permanent full-time
LOCATION: Vancouver, BC
 
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for ensuring that all production areas and equipment are hygienically cleaned and sanitized for Production.

MAJOR POSITION ACOUNTABILITIES
- Washes and sanitizes all production equipment and utensils.

- Ensures that all floors are free of garbage and dirt.

- Follows all the working procedures, using the correct cleaning chemicals and correct concentration of the cleaning chemicals.

- Performs and records the chemical residual tests by the end of the shift.

- Carries out special assignments given by the QA Manager and Sanitation Supervisor.

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Graveyard shift work from 9:30 pm – 6:00am
- Works in the production plant
- Frequent handling of caustic and acidic cleaning chemicals
- Exposure to loud noises and required to wear various personal protective equipment while working
- Heavy lifting of machinery is required

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent

Related Experience:
- Experience in working in a food manufacturing plant an asset

Other Requirements:
- Able & willing to work on graveyard shift
- Physically fit
- Good knowledge of written and verbal Chinese a definite asset
- A team player
