Easy Asian Recipes

Asian Hot Pot
Asian Hot Pots are traditionally cooked using individual gas
burners placed at the centre of the family kitchen table. Everyone takes turns piling delicious ingredients into the pot as the soup and its contents slowly simmer to
perfection. Brothy and to the brim with flavour, our version is an easy one pot
recipe that you can do over any stove top.
As the flavours from the vegetables and meat cook into the
soup base, our Sunrise Soft Tofu readily
absorbs all those flavours making for a truly delicious first bite. Make sure
you watch the water levels of the soup as it cooks. If things start to look a
bit too dry, add water ½ a cup at a time.
Smoked Tofu and Shrimp Fried Rice
Tired of chicken fried rice? Try this smoky and fragrant rice dish we created using our Soyganic Smoked Tofu!
Using either a frying pan or wok, fried rice dishes are one of our favourites to play with because they make for quick and easy recipes. If you want to try something other than shrimp here, try throwing in cuttle fish, scallops or small pieces of white fish (basa or cod work well because they aren’t as flaky).
Simple Lettuce Wrap
This is a kid-friendly recipe that our staff loves to make with their families. It takes less than 30 minutes to prepare and cook, so you still have time to watch your favourite TV show by the time dinner is ready.
We used our Sunrise Pressed Tofu in this recipe, but our Sunrise or Soyganic Extra Firm Tofu works just as well here. Feel free to also swap
in different vegetables depending on whether or not your kids are picky eaters.
Harder vegetables work best – carrots, onions, or zucchinis are good options.
The most important elements of this simple recipe are the
sauces. Asian sauces like hoisin and oyster sauce can be found in the Asian
section of most major retailers.
